Dimchevo village is home to about 200 people it has a small shop and a bar with another shop. it is 15 minutes drive from the nearest small beach resort, 2o from the city and 45 from Burgas international airport, surrounded by rolling hills and the shores of lake Mandresko on 3 sides it is the perfect place to walk, kayak and birdwatch.
Kayaking
The river Fakiska is just a stones throw away from Gecko Lodge, a slow moving river that feeds Lake Madresko, it is home to a multitude of birds, fish, pond turtles and amphibians, not to mention Dragonflys. It is the perfect place to get up close and personal with nature.
Our kayaks are inflatable which makes them very comfortable and stable, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Located directly under the Via Pontica, one of the largest bird migration routes , Gecko Lodge is the perfect location to base yourself if you want to see 100s of bird species. The local area is so rich in habitats, fresh, brackish water and saline lakes along with woodland and bracken. The freedom to roam in Bulgaria allows you to access all of these habitats freely.
Step away from the lodge and you find yourself immersed in nature, walk to the lakeshore. Dimchevo village is surrounded by rolling hills and lake Mandresko on three sides,
